Thales Communications, Inc. selects ILS-INC to write the operational and maintenance manual and to develop the accompanying training materials for its Vehicle Adapter Amplifier (VAA). The VAA is specifically designed to adapt Thales' Multiband Inter/Intra Team Radio (MBITR) hand-held radio as a military vehicle communications base unit.
After a successful partnership with Thales Communications, Inc. on the MBITR Intermediate Maintenance Manual and training presentation for the U.S. Marine Corps, ILS-INC will again collaborate with Thales to write the operational and maintenance manual and training presentation for the VAA specifically designed for the MBITR in military vehicles.
With 40,000 MBITRs in the field, Thales has designed the VAA to increase output power, use the vehicle battery and antenna, accommodate numerous audio accessories and military intercom systems, and serve as a retransmission station. Currently, Thales is using the ILS-INC-developed MBITR maintenance technical manual and presentation materials to train Marine technicians in five major maintenance depots.
